Happy New Year!
Wow 2012 is upon us, and what a start!
With rumblings in the yoga world, partly stirred by the New York Times, and happenings in the marathon running world, with record runs at the US Olympic trials it has been quite the January!
LRY started 2012 with a long weekend on the Northumberland coast in the UK, where group training runs along the beach and dunes set the tone for what is to be a ‘trail running’ year. It is not necessarily a ‘resolution’ but an intent of sorts.
Speaking of intents – you can sign up for intent.com’s current #30daysintents challenge via their website. Share your intent for the day with the intent.com community, and compare your thoughts to everyone else’s.
And why not add a yoga challenge whilst you’re at it? Yoga Journal currently has a 21-Day Yoga Challenge going on, to motivate and help the cultivation of home-yoga-practice. It’s a great way to begin practising yoga more on your own, with expert tuition via video links and podcasts.
As for running, no extra challenges needed there but if you have a challenge, maybe to sign up for your first 5km or perhaps a marathon, go for it! Let us know how you get on, and if you need any advice, send us your questions.
Happy Trails in this Olympic Year!
2012 already!
